Raymond S. Leathers

Raymond S. Leathers is a partner in this firm and has been in practice since 1981. Mr. Leathers received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of the South in 1976. He received his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1981.

Mr. Leathers practiced in the State Attorney General's office as an Assistant Attorney General from 1983 to 1987, and as Deputy Attorney General of the Civil Rights and Claims Division from 1988 through 1990. From 1990 to the present Mr. Leathers has been involved in a litigation practice with this firm involving insurance defense, workers' compensation, personal injury, and subrogation. He has tried numerous lawsuits in both Tennessee state and Federal Courts and handled appellate cases in State and Federal Appellate Courts.

He is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations, the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and a Fellow the Nashville Bar Foundation. He has served as an Officer and on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association and is Past President of the Association.
